Standard proofreading *
Services include basic corrections of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and minor formatting.
Complex proofreading *
For scripts that need more detailed proofreading and cursory copyediting. It typically applies to writers who have sentences that need more clarity and consistency, have frequent script formatting issues, have extensive grammatical issues, or are English language learners who do not have a strong command of written Standardized English.
Issues often relate to tense, subject/verb agreement, articles, or prepositions. Problems also may apply to excessive run-ons or fragments (This pertains to grammatical problems, not a writer’s stylistic choices, such as action lines that often are written as fragments in scripts or character dialogue that reflects the way a character speaks).
Also includes Standard Proofreading.
____________
* Both standard proofreading and complex proofreading do not include detailed copyediting or copywriting (e.g., changes to dialogue, plot, or character). Contact me for info about my editing, writing, and creative feedback services.
* I accept scripts as Final Draft 10-12 (.fdx) files. For other file/software formats or earlier versions of Final Draft, please contact me in advance for pricing and availability.
* Additional fees apply to scripts not in standard screenplay or stage play formatting. Fonts need to be 12 point in Times New Roman or Courier. Margins cannot be smaller than 1-inch. Contact me for pricing on scripts in non-standard formatting.
After you make your payment through PayPal, email me your script[s] formatted in Final Draft (.fdx). Please contact me for inquiries on other types of software. Make sure to include page numbers.
I will supply you with a Final Draft copy of your script that shows my recommended changes/revisions. You will likely have the ability to approve or deny each change within Final Draft. Due to differences between our computers, the page numbers and some formatting may not match up exactly to your original copy.
Should you want the proofreading changes provided to you in another format than listed above, please contact me in advance.
If possible, I will do my best to accommodate your individual needs.
While I will do my very best to catch errors on your script, I am only human and may not be able to find every single mistake in your script. I value my relationship with my customers; therefore, I promise to be diligent and careful as I proofread your material.
I respect your privacy and your copyright. What’s yours is yours. I will keep the content of your material confidential unless you say otherwise.
Should I be interested in using your name/company name or any of your material for promotional purposes, I promise that I will ask your permission in advance. I won’t use it unless you give me the go ahead.
I suggest that you copyright your materials. Click here for more information.

Yes I do. Contact me for details and pricing on creative feedback, editing, and writing services
Yes. Even though I often focus on scripts, I'll work on most anything with words.
Ask me about my proofreading, editing, or writing/ghostwriting of other types of written works:
creative writing -- novels, short stories, poetry, pitch decks, query letters, summaries, treatments, loglines, PR materials, and more.
business writing -- website text, blog posts, bios, resumes, PowerPoints, and more.
academic writing -- theses, essays, literature reviews, statements of purpose, and more. Note: as an educator, I will only proofread or lightly edit academic writing. I won't do any writing or heavy editing, but I can give academic advice like a tutor would give to you.
